PORTFOLIO PROJECT: BRAINSTORMING

PORTFOLIO PROJECT: BRAINSTORMING

Good morning and happy Saturday! Yesterday, I created a google doc with some brainstorming ideas I have. Here it is:

On the chart, I separated the columns so that we could have different categories for the things we need.

Locations:
The locations column is empty right now because we haven't figured out an exact location to film everything. When we start to plan and confirm where we want the location to be, we can add it there!

Character(s):
We have already decided the character or characters that are going to be in our opening. The model is going to be the main characters, but we don't know if we should include the photographer yet. I have studio lights that we can use, and you don't necessarily need the camera to make the flash go off. You can control the flash from a remote control. So for now, the main character is the only one being shown in the opening. We figured this will be easier and less complicated.

Rising question:
We've been working on what the rising question will be. The question will be aimed towards the end of the opening, when the lights go off in the whole studio. So we're still working on our genre you can say. We might change it to drama/thriller.

Conflict:
The conflict goes along with the rising question. The conflict of the whole opening will be when the model goes back out into the studio to continue the session, the lights will go out.

Props:
For props, we will have makeup, (that will be shown on the vanity/desk) the flash in the studio room, and anything else that we will come up with as we go.

Storyline:
And at the bottom, we have the storyline! The storyline is still in progress, but we like it so far! We made it into drama/thriller because we thought it would be boring without it. With only the drama genre, we couldn't find anything interesting to make the conflict. We needed something that would make the viewer want to keep watching.

That's it for now! Stay tuned for the next post!
