PORTFOLIO PROJECT: DETOUR!

Welcome back! This week, we have decided to change our genre. More like adding to it. Our storyline is going to have some thrilling elements, which will be shown later on in this post. So our genre will change to drama/thriller. 

• Opening starts with the name of the production company. _______ productions. 

• Extreme close up of the model’s  eye closed and then opening. With a flash from the camera. 

• Long shot as the whole setup is shown. 

• Set up shows: Model fully dressed posing, while the flash is constantly showing. 

• Shot changed to a desk/vanity with all makeup products on it. Posters of VOGUE are shown, implying this is a famous model and is dedicated to the magazine. 

• Close up shots of makeup and products being shown. 

• Scene cuts back to the model with the photoshoot. (maybe with slo mo shots being shown.)

• Model heads out of the studio, and sits back down at desk/vanity. 

• She starts to wipe makeup off as a close up of her phone shows an important message.

This is our storyline so far. Let's go into the specifics!

Before first scene:

The first thing the viewer will see when the opening starts is the name of the production company. We still haven't decided on a name, but we will get to that later!

First scene:

The scene will start with an extreme close up of the model's eye. In the back, there will be a studio light going off, implying that there is a photo shoot going on currently. The music from the video will be faded, and then it will fade in and the volume will get higher as the video progresses. After that shot, the camera will zoom out, and the whole studio/backdrop will show.

Photoshoot: 

 

A long shot will show the whole setup which will be the white backdrop and the model in the center and the flashes will keep going.

The music will be at full volume now, and the shot from the studio will switch to one with a vanity or desk. All the makeup products will be shown on there, and there will be some cool focusing shots. At this time, the names of producers, directors, etc. will be shown.

Vanity:

When the model goes back to the vanity to start taking her makeup off, a text will show up on her phone, and she will lift up the phone to look at it.

The phone will have a suspicious message on it, something around the lines of "you shouldn't have done that."

The model will think it's weird but won't think anything of it too badly.

Back in the studio:

When the model is back inside the studio, the photoshoot will start again but the studio lights will mysteriously turn off, and all the studio will go pitch black. This is where the thriller portion of the opening will start.
