STARTING MY PORTFOLIO PROJECT!

 

Cambridge Portfolio Project:

This week, I'm going to start working on my portfolio project! I have chosen my partner, Grace! We want this project to be well thought out! We also want to be proud of what we submit in April! So Grace loves fashion, and she wants to do something with fashion in the future, and I want to do something with photography. So we want to incorporate both into something big. So here are some things we're thinking about so far: 

Characters:

We want our character to be the photographer or the model. Grace and I want to incorporate both the fashion and the photography side of the story. 

Scene: 

I have some of the ideas for the scene(s) that we will be filming. Here are some: 

- girl working for magazine

- photographer working for magazine

- model

Genre/what's going to happen:

There has to be some type of conflict in the scene, something that would want to drag the viewer into this movie, and know what happens next. So at the end of the movie opening, we'll have some type of conflict that would want the viewer to keep watching. At the beginning, I have an idea to start the video off with someone opening their eye. This someone will be the main character, and then they'll show the main character fully. And the genre we're thinking will be drama. 

So this movie opening will be introducing a character. We can be recording in an office, and hang up some "VOUGE" posters that I found on amazon. 

We can have a couple seconds of the camera focusing on all the little things in the office. Like the posters, the editing on the computer, the cameras, and the designs. This will imply that the character is an editor and is very important. We are still working on what the conflict is going to be, but I love this idea so far!
