MY PORTFOLIO PROJECT: A LEVEL

Hey guys, happy Friday! Today in class, my teammates and I discussed our choices on what our project will be. Here is a summary of comparing the two choices: 

Film Promotion: 

This choice would involve us making two full length trailers. It would be similar to a previous project I did. However, this time it would be with partners and we would make two trailers, not one. All of the A Level media projects are considered "packages." So with the film promotion package, we would also have to create a social media page in order to promote the film that would be coming out. Another task would be creating a film poster. For my last project, I also created a film poster for the movie "Sincerely." This is the poster: 

This poster took a lot of planning on my part, and the visual aspects of it were edited very carefully. For the film promotion package, we would make something similar. 

Overall, this option isn't a bad one, considering that we already did a project like this, so it wouldn't be as difficult. 

Short Film: 

Another option is a full short film. It would have to be at least 5 minutes (although we can't go overtime too much). The pro side of this is that we can be super creative with this. We would have to create an entire story line, which could be difficult. 

Just like the film promotion, this also has a package. For the package, we would also have to include a social media account, in order to promote the short film. And also a postcard that would be distributed at a film festival. This would also serve as an advertisement for the film. 

Summary: 

Overall, we have two great choices. Next class we will decide 100% what we're going with, so stay tuned! More posts to come as always,
